Hey, guys and gals! I hope it’s been a good week for you, because it’s been great over here.
I’ve signed up for Plum Deluxe tea club which I’m really enjoying right now. I just finished my 2nd cup of Oregon Breakfast Tea the sample tea that came with my tea of the month. It’s a nice nutty tea with a bit of sweetness to it. I might have to keep it in mind as a new favorite.
I’m thinking now about trying my actual tea of the month, the Spring Hickory Oolong Tea. I tend to like Oolongs, if I remember correctly, and I’m looking forward to trying this particular one after I eat something. And I do love seeing what’s actually in the teas. My new teas are becoming a little treat to look forward to on my nights off of work. Which is probably good, since my powdered chai tea that I was obsessed with (and tend to drink before work) is a rather heavy and creamy tea. Having something a little lighter to alternate with is probably a little better for me.
Anyway, this is not a tea blog. You’ve come here for the toys.
Well, as you might have seen already, Bruce the Bat is now available for purchase here, Ravelry, and very soon on Etsy and Craftsy.
Here’s a little something awesome for those of y’all who follow me on Ravelry: if you buy Bruce from Rav, you can get him on sale.
Yup. That’s one of my favorite words too.
I had originally had a vague notion of releasing Bruce in time for a Halloween knit-a-long (KAL) that the Undead Yarn Podcast had running last year. I hit a creative snag and that didn’t happen as planned. Something randomly cool occurred by me not hitting that goal, though. Bruce was not released in time for Halloween, but now his release coincides with the release of the Batman Vs. Superman movie coming out by the end of this month! Now I’m not a Ben Affleck fan. I specifically do not like him as Daredevil and personally think that he will be an awful Batman. But I am a fan of both of these characters in the comics. And the Lex Luthor mistake in casting makes me cringe, but, being a long-time Batman fan, I will still willingly go to see Batman Vs. Superman in the theaters. The Batman and Superman comics were always some of my favorites (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and even parts of Hush come immediately to mind; of course, it helps that Jeph Loeb wrote both comics in question).
Superman/Batman Public Enemies
Anway, long circuitous way of getting to my point. In spite of having some definite reservations concerning this new movie coming out, this movie is still the first time a live-action Batman and Superman are seen together on screen. And that is worth celebrating. So from now through the end of March, Bruce the Bat is going to be 50% on Ravelry.com when you use the code TeamBat.
Because we all know that Batman will win.
In the Superman part of the comic, Hush. Right before Batman beats Superman.
So, yeah, sale! Take advantage of the code while it lasts!
Have a great Thursday!
And I think it’s time for me to get something to eat so I can have my next cup of tea. Cheers!
God Bless,
Tahlia
